My life as of now

So, I suck at blogging. It's not really about not having enough time... It's not really about having nothing to say.... It's not really even about anything. Well, enough excuses for the excuses... and on to the blog.

I have been vegetarian for about two weeks now. I am giving up meat for forty days for Lent (my roommate used to be Catholic). It's actually been remarkably easy. I don't eat meat much as it is because it's rather expensive, so making the next step wasn't so hard. I am playing around with the idea of keeping it up after Lent is over. It would need to be a very personal and committed decision for me though.

I also gave up eating from vending machines for Lent. It's way harder.

Deanna (my roommate of 2.5 years) and I are still as in love as ever. Don't be concerned though - just because we spoon in bed sometimes, confide our deepest secrets in each other, and bash on men consistently DOESN'T mean that we're lesbians. We'd at least need some kind of butch hair cut for that, and our hair is much to beautiful how it is.

This pic is from our random night of 'get dressed up and go get indian food'. And I think we're making awkward faces on purpose.

This is a pic taken in December of our beautiful yellow house - well the corner of it and a tree, I guess. I reside in this lovely abode with the loves of my life - Deanna, Leslie, Amy, and Meagan. We five girls pride ourselves on our dance parties that rock the block and sometimes threaten a cave-in - seriously. Our house may be cute, but it's definitely not in it's prime...the insulation sucks, there are leaky faucets, and we have no dishwasher or garbage disposal. But LOVE holds it together. And maybe prayer - although this might be counteracted by the slight swearing problem we all have....

Here is a picture of one of our characteristic dance parties. This one happened to include only Deanna and me. Just think 'Shiny Toy Guns' and you should get the jist.

Overall, I am having a very wonderful 2008. I love my classes this semester (even if I do sleep through Advanced Molecular Biology every MWF). I love my roommates - they keep my grounded (not in the 'can't leave the house' sense, but in the 'hey, this is what life is about' sense) and don't get angry with me for being overwhelmingly girly at times. I love the international cinema for showing amazing movies for free on BYU campus - it brings a little bit of art into my life. I love that there is potential in my life (boy potential even...). I love the gospel - I have really felt so close to the Lord and I have seen his hand in my life time and time again over the past few months. I just really love life right now. And I especially love you.... (haha, I just wanted to end this with as much cheese as possible).

El Fin.

Vic-victoria-uh. So, since we last talked, you have picked up a lesbian problem and a swearing problem! What is the world coming to. There's surely no hope for the rest of us!
